This collaboration unfolds at the meeting point of ink and light, of brushstroke and photograph. A sumi calligrapher and a black-and-white photographer bring their practices together — not to merge them, but to let them converse.
Some photographs remain in their familiar form; others are inverted, turning light into shadow and shadow into light. Layered over the immediacy of ink on paper, these shifting tonalities create a rhythm of opposites — presence and absence, clarity and mystery.
The work recalls the openness of abstract painting and the improvisational flow of jazz. Just as a single note, bent or repeated, can shift the mood of a composition, here a brushstroke or the layering of an image alters the field of perception. Nothing is fixed; everything is response, variation, echo.
Rooted in the beauty of imperfection and transience, the works remind us that nothing endures. Brushstrokes bleed, photographs dissolve — and what arises is not a fixed meaning but an atmosphere: a dialogue of ink and light, form and emptiness, memory and disappearance.

このコラボレーションは、墨と光、筆致と写真の交わる場所で展開されます。墨書家とモノクロ写真家が、それぞれの実践をひとつに融合させるのではなく、対話させるために出会いました。
ある写真はそのままの姿をとどめ、別の写真は反転し、光が影となり、影が光となります。紙の上に置かれた墨の即興性に重ねられたこれらの変化する調子は、存在と不在、明晰と神秘といった対極のリズムを生み出します。
その作品は、抽象絵画の開放性やジャズの即興的な流れを想起させます。一つの音が曲の気配を変えるように、ここでは筆致や映像の反転が知覚の場を変容させます。固定されたものはなく、すべては応答であり、変奏であり、響き合いです。
