Waiting is a state of in-betweenness, not anchored in the present but rather suspended between the past and the future. A moment free from the constraints and burdens of the past and the pressures and expectations of the future. It implies a sense of detachment from the immediate surroundings. People are seen in the context of a larger idea - physical and metaphysical, the tangible world and the realm of thoughts, emotions, and abstract ideas. A contemplative space where potentially, loneliness which implies a sence of isolation and sadness can be transformed into solitude, which is peaceful and content.
